Advanced Topics in Agile Management
Kevin Aguanno will be a guest lecturer in a degree-credit project management course at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.
Kevin Aguanno will be a guest lecturer for a project management course at Trent University in Peterborough, Ontario.  The course counts for degree credit in both the Dept. of Computer Science and the Dept. of Business Studies.  During the course, students will learn the basics of project management, studying both PMI's PMBoK Guide, and Aguanno's Managing Agile Projects.  Students also will learn the relative strengths and weaknesses of both agile and waterfall-type approaches, understanding when each method is best applied.

Appearing in one of the final classes, Aguanno will sum up the key messages of the course and then will address a number of student inquiries that arose during the course in his lecture titled "Advanced Topics in Agile Management."  This lecture deals with the history of the evolution of agile methods, tips for adopting agile into an organization or onto a team for the first time, agile documentation best practices, a case study of a very large Scrum project, and a section dispelling common myths about agile processes and how they apply to projects.
