Advanced Agile Management MethodsBasic agile project
management certification shows that the candidate understands how to
use agile management techniques to manage projects in corporate
environments. Yet, not all projects are created equal: some
require a higher level of nuanced understanding of the application
agile management techniques plus familiarity with more advanced topics
such as organizational governance of agile projects including agile in
a CMMI environment, scaling agile projects, agile contracting, agile
fixed price projects, and more; advanced agile metrics including earned
business value, agile earned value, running tested features, budget
burn, and agile balanced scorecards; agile reporting and communications
(kanban boards, agile documentation, dealing with distributed teams);
and agile adoption with a team or within the enterprise.
This
course meets the educational requirements for the Certified Senior
Project Manager designation from the Project Management Association of
Canada -- please check with that organization for additional
certification requirements.
Audience:
This course is intended for Certified Agile Project Managers wishing to
upgrade their certification to the senior level, or for experienced
agile project managers, team leads, or PMO representatives.
Duration:
Two full days of lectures and workshop activities, starting at 9:00
a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m., with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute
lunch break.
Materials:
Students will be provided with an in-class workbook containing copies
of the presentation materials, case studies, sample agile contracts,
and much more.
